How can we capitalize on museum exhibitions to enhance children’s health?
Studies show that children’s attitudes and behaviors are influenced by those closest to them. Can museum exhibitions encourage healthy choices and habits by influencing the whole family unit?
Under this project, CERE is partnering with the Mississippi Children’s Museum on its development of the Wonder of Wellness exhibition.
Over the next two years MCM will partner with a range of community organizations to design, pilot, and then develop, a hands-on exhibition intended to influence healthy attitudes and behaviors. CERE will work in tandem with MCM as a developmental evaluator, offering feedback along the way as MCM and their partners participate in forums and roundtables, then eventually pilot and launch the larger-scale exhibit.
