Monica Coleman

Graduate Assistant

Monica L. Coleman is a Graduate Assistant at CERE. She is a counselor, doctoral candidate and evaluator. She has worked with the Center for Research Evaluation since 2020. She is a Tunica native and previously worked as Director of Education and Training with Teen Health Mississippi. Her research interests focus on: Public Policy Advocacy, Mental Health Equity, Multicultural and Social Justice Counseling Competencies, Ethics in Counseling, Program Evaluation, Policy Evaluation, Qualitative and Quantitative Methods, Community Based Participatory Research, Rurality, Poverty, and Disability. Her evaluation work draws upon Empowerment Evaluation and other participatory and mixed methods to couple the centering of program staff and participant voices with quantifiable evidence throughout the evaluation process.
